A well designed classroom should:

• Be a safe, comfortable space for students to make mistakes and learn

• Have organized, neat, and clutter free teacher and student work spaces

• Utilize natural lighting to aid naturalist learners and provide the teacher with clear vision at all times to keep students safe

• Provide plenty of space for students, teachers, and administrators to navigate freely and remain safe

• Include flexible seating to accomodate learning styles

• Include learning centers at eye-level to ensure student accessibility

• Incorporate technology as an innovative, authentic learning tool

• Incorporate a stage or presentation area to encourage student growth and confidence
