Technology in the Classroom

Below I have listed five of my favorite technology tools for the classroom and a few examples of how I will use them.

#1

Mentimeter
Mentimeter is a presentation software that can assess participants in several different ways and provide real-time results. Multiple-choice, word clouds, scales, and other question types can be used to assess students. This interactive platform engages and motivates students while providing immediate feedback and formative assessment for teachers.
Educreations
Educreations is an interactive whiteboard and screencasting app. This is a great way to pre-teach content, provide reviews, or assess student knowledge. Students can easily teach other students, providing collaboration and more time for learning.

Nearpod can take students around the world all within the four walls of the classroom. Virtual field trips to the Lincoln Memorial or Great Wall of China are all within a finger's reach.

Google jamboard
Jamboard is a powerful tool that can be customized for many instructional needs. I often use Jamboard for a blending board during word work or as a reading tool during a structured literacy lesson. I love that Jamboard allows me to share the site with the student, providing interaction and ease of error correction in real-time.
