Meet the Teacher Letter
A meet the teacher letter is a great resource to send home to students before school begins. I like to include a YouTube video and QR code with a short introduction or quick classroom tour. I also like to call each of my students to let them know my excitement for the upcoming school year.
Classroom News letter
A classroom news letter is an excellent way to communicate important information with parents. This can be sent weekly or monthly via paper copy with students or emailed directly to parents. This is a great place to include student learning objectives, event reminders, and more.
Zip Kit
A zip kit is an alternative homework assignment or center activity that can easily be transported home with a student. Zip kits can reinforce many concepts that are being taught in the classroom. I designed this zip kit to reinforce spelling, phonics, and counting.

bloomz parent communication app
In today's 21st Century society, communicating with parents has never been faster or easier. I like to use the Bloomz application to update parents about classroom events and volunteer opportunities, send reminders, schedule parent-teacher conferences, and more. This application is just one of many options for safe and secure communication with parents.

the night before read aloud
To begin the school year, I like to send home a QR code attached to popcorn. The QR code is linked to a video of me reading "The Night Before Kindergarten". I love using this first interaction as a way to jumpstart students' love for literacy and encourage parent involvement.
